Met online dating site. Moved from site to WhatsApp and Snapchat. Claimed to be a logistics analyst with company in Glasgow. I had checked Google reverse image search before moved off dating site. No matches found, also checked name and work place. When on Snapchat sent locations which all checked out as well. He had mentioned about cryptocurrency and I said I wasn’t interested but happy for him to tell me about it or talk about his trading. He was very persistent and I ended up buying a small amount of crypto. He continued to chat and build up trust focusing on my vulnerable areas. Chatted on phone and texts regularly with no particular time pattern. I checked all photos he sent and couldn’t find anything suspicious. Trust was built through the wallets I was using as all had my password, Face ID, key and security which he had no access too. I took out a loan of £5k, changed into cryptocurrency USDT. It was then I moved the crypto to platform www.antcontract.cc. This is only site I didn’t check and where the trading was carried out. If I questioned anything he always had a plausible answer. Completed a trade and I could see a small profit. After this there was little mention of money and continued chatting. I had left money in platform to trade again. He talked me through all the steps of buying, transfer f and leverage trading. I then got added to his family trading group where 5 other people, who were introduced as various family members or close friends. This was all setting me up to build me into his control and coercion. I took another 2 loans out totalling £15K, credit card £5K cash withdrawal. In total on the platform I had 25K. After another trade was completed I went to withdraw some money and my funding account was locked as the customer service wanted a payment of 43K to withdraw. Which I didn’t pay.
