First they texted me with a Job offer, said if im Interested, told me to download microsoft teams so i can have my interview with the hiring manager by the name of Michael Duckworth, said he is working for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield base in Augusta, Georgia. Had my interview on the same day, 15 mins later said I got the job, but the sketchy thing is I was ready for a virtual interview but he said it via chat. The tone used in the interview was very demanding, only wants brief answers. To me it doesnt feel like a interview its more like giving me orders or commanding me to follow through. Never stated the position i was hired for, I have to ask what position. Never stated when Im supposed to start trainings but want me to go online on microsoft teams every day at 8am. He said trainee supervisor will call me, but never did. Every thing was just really sketchy to me, I really was so desperate to have this job but i can shake that feeling off, its too good to be true. I started doing sone research about the company, try to find who this Michael Duckworth nothing came up. They send me a check for 5,800$ to deposit in my account telling me its for purchasing work materials and work equipments need for the job. Again did my research about scamming and the company. Now i have the check and they are waiting for me to deposit the check saturday 10/08/22. Which i will not cause I know now this is a scam. They have a picture of me, because they said i need to send them a clear picture of me for my company badge. They have my address, phone number. I have all the evidence, screen shots of all the conversations that ive had with these scammers. Now i fear for my life and im scared. This started on 10/04/22-10/08/22
