I paid this company back in 2021 for a loan for the Marinellos School of Beauty. The amount was $597 and today another agency is calling me about the same debt asking to pay $2500. I have my bank statement where it says I paid them that amount. what can I do?

These duch bags are good, they got me for $50, because the played the con game better than all my counter measures and better judgement. Like so many have said above or below how this lines up, they use all the right words and even do the old I am walking away from the deal and handing you off to the judge, when you push them for more details and paper work proving the debt. Even when you call the original creditor from a decade ago and they confirm they still have the debt, not sold or have any one outside of them attempting to collect, they come up with some BS that sort of sets you back on your approach.

What hurst me the most is that I should had known better, my wife was actually served papers over 18 years ago, by JC Penny over $300... $300 dollars. Any one that is suing you should provide actual legal papers. These opportunistic scam artist, know just enough about you and your creditors from the past to hook you. In my case they had my number my social and a bunch of background information that you or anyone with some sort of credit bureau access can get, but what they do not have are the correct amounts and even account type for me it was an old car loan they kept saying credit card, just close and also the account was never right.

Also they try no to email you anything other than their "proof" of the debt, a bill any one can print, everything else they want to call you, leave a message, my guess is to not leave any hard proof of their tactics, cause the messages are a bit toned down from the hair on fire the sky will rain fire on you and your wages attitude they use on the phone with you.

I received a call from this company by the person named Christiania calling from ACC LEGAL FIRM , she left a message with my address and case number ect , anyways I call it back she was very rude then she sends me to someone else it turns out that it’s for a school loan that I took out for a beauty school almost 9 years ago , I told them before I pay anything to them that I needed documentation saying who they we’re and what the debt was for ect then he also kept saying he will have to talk to the attorney because they want to see something paid by next week then I say well I don’t have a bank account so can I send you a money order and he tells me to get a prepaid green dot card smh ! I have blocked and reported scam on all numbers that have called me from there and looking at reviews on here and other places they are scammers ! I will see if they send anything in the mail with the information I was told ! DONT ANSWER THIS NUMBER AND FYI THEY WILL CALL YOU FROM DIFFERENT ONES!

I had no idea this was a scam. Something told me to look into it. And i saw the same documents and it clicked i had the same ones. I can not believe i was that blind to see. But thank god i caught it before it was too late. What will happen now?

Did you deal with them after? Also wondering what happened.

Just wondering if anything happened after this ? I am dealing with these people as we speak!

I received a call from this company saying I fraud Fortis College and I had to pay an initial payment of $500 which I did pay them (?) but my past due date was November 14th and I didn’t receive a call or email saying that I’m late on my monthly payment I went to this college back in 2014 and all of a sudden they wanna call and summoned me to court like really so I’m not making no payments I did research after I made the payment and read that this company is SCAM AND FRAUD! I read comments on the BBB website and everyone is saying they’re a SCAM! Watch out for this company!

Just received a call from "ACC" Apex Capital Consulting. Spoke with a woman, Jessica, who claimed I owed from 2 possible places back from 2014. She knew the last 4 of my social, address, and date of birth. Neither debts "owed" are on my credit. She claimed I was going to get served on 11/20/2020 unless they could settle the debt.
• One time payment of $2,316.67
• Payment plan - 9 months $430
• 12 month $378
• Counteroffer within reason

This is the phone number she called from 951-430-0182 .
She sent me a contract when I asked for more information about this debt and how it could be payed for less. She kept placing me on hold to "talk to the attorney." Then I got an email from TAYLOR SHIELDS with docusign with a contract that just looked too fake. My wife and I researched the company while she was on the phone and found this site. My debt is from 2014 but I have never received a phone call or letter and now all of a sudden I will have to go to court? Just didn't make any sense! Number has been blocked!

So is her name Taylor Shields or Taylor Henderson? ??‍♀️? I got the same exact forms did you pay anything else? Did you still have to go to court? Did they do anything because you didn’t pay anything else?

I teceived a call from an Apex representative the week of July 10, 2020. I was informed this call was an attempt to collect a debt.

The debt referred to was an auto loan made in 2008. Little did I know at the time, the statute of limitation on debts in GA is 6 years.

Yes, I was told if this was not taken care of, I would have litigation brought upon me, be required to pay debt in full ($1,082, down from $9k??) & would have to pay court costs & attorney’s fees.

I gave bank debit card number & authorized $50 to be drafted from my account & an additional $950 at a later date. I can’t believe I was so foolish.

Since then, I have sent two emails stating that I withdrew consent for any further withdrawal, wanted a refund immediately & I had an attorney put on retainer. My bank has put a fraud alert on my account.

I received no response from email. The direct line I was given for the representative, she wouldn’t answer & I proceeded to leave two voicemails.

Fast forward to today, July 28, 2020.

I called & spoke with a different representative, who stated if I canceled the future payment, the next call I received would be from an attorney. Right....He was very rude. I was put on hold & when he came back on the line, told me ‘it looks like your file has been pulled & the debt was considered paid in full’.

What?

Just 8 days ago, they wanted $1k, but now that I’ve disputed their credibility & business ethics, (of which they have none), it’s taken care of?

I was told that he put in for my request for a refund & it would be take 2-3 business days to be processed.

My question is; why wasn’t my request for refund put in 6 days ago when I did NOT request it but DEMANDED it, via email, to the initial representatives assistant (as if that’s her true title)?

Check validity of debt & statute of limitations on debt in your state.

Do not give these people any money or information.

I’ve also filed a complaint with my state’s fraud division. Unless these careless & thoughtless individuals are caught or business goes under of they go to jail, they’ll continue to prey on anyone that falls for their scams.

This is why I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize & obviously shouldn’t call back missed calls.

I have blocked all phone numbers associated with this fraudulent business & demanded I never be contacted again, unless they would like harassment charges filed against them.

I received several calls from a woman calling herself Jessica Dominga and I spoke to her, eventually on about the 4th call. She said she was with a law firm and alleged that there is a debt I owe a credit card company that is a little over $2,000.00 on the account I opened in 2005. I knew I did not open an acct in 05. She said I had made payments on the account. I told her the only account balance I had ever had on that credit card was dismissed in a 2002 bankruptcy. I asked her to send me info on the debt via email and I would determine if it is indeed my debt or if someone opened an account in my name. Jessica knew the last 4 of my social. I received the email from APEX Consulting, Taylor Shields and DOCUsign. Instructions said 'Click on link to review and Sign documents.' I declined and neither clicked or signed. I knew the 15+ year old debt, (if it exists) was not mine and I knew that Ohio (where I live) law said Statute of Limitations had run on any 15 year old debt or starting from last payment made on the debt. I told all this to Jessica Dominga when she called to ask if I had received the email. I asked what is the name of the law firm she represented. She then said name of firm is ACC Consulting. I said what law firm? She again stated ACC Consulting. I told her I do not owe the debt and I won't be paying it. She threatened that "I could tell it to the judge and I would receive a Summons in 7 to 10 days." I told her I am looking forward to it. I didn't bother to tell her that courts in Ohio right now because of the Covid 19 virus, are only handling the very serious criminal cases. I have never seen any such debt on my credit report and I am sure it does not exist. I am confident that Jessica Dominga, Taylor Shields and APEX Consulting are scammers, INVENTING Debt and collecting in some cases. The phone number Jessica used to call me is on Scam list, 951-412-2306. She said she was located in California. Our last conversation was 06/12/2020

My husband was contacted by Lexie Marshall at Apex Capital Consulting about a debt discharged over 20 years ago through a bankruptcy. Ms. Marshall asked my husband for the last four of his social security number and was very direct about collecting the debt. He put me on speaker phone and given the pressure and the threats (politely expressed, I will say) about going to court if I didn't settle today, I immediately became suspicious. I asked for email documentation of the alleged debt and was sent a document through docusign by "Taylor Shields" a name I have seen used frequently (and fraudulently) as I researched this company. Lexie Marshall said that her assistant would email me the document. I have reported the document to Docusign as fraudulent. The title of the document was MOCK Stipulation Letter. Maybe MOCK is an acronym, but to me it means "fake" or at best draft. I have blocked their number and will not respond to further demands. Lexie said to call her on her personal extension 1-951-412-2267, which also matches a google search I did and came up as linked to a fraudulent enterprise and frequently blocked numbers. My suggestion, do your research (google is easy) thoroughly before responding to this kind of fraudulent outreach. It was easy to link the name of the company to the first five hits linking it with fraud. Then I did a number search, same thing. I am certain that "Taylor Shields" is not an actual person as my research showed the name in a variety of email address formats over a number of years.

I was contacted by this company saying that I owed an old credit card debt. I told them that I paid that off and they said the account is in their office. To avoid going to court I must pay the settlement agreement. I can not have something like that on my credit report, so I entered into the payment arrangement. I am glad I found out this is a scam before I gave them too much money. I replaced the card that the arrangement was set up on. Now, Jessica Domiguiz at 951 412 2306 is trying to get updated card information from me.

I got a robo call telling me I was going to be summoned and served at my place of employment or home, and to dial 1 for more info or call an 866 number. I dialed 1 and was connected to Victoria who verified the last 4 digits of my SSN and claimed I had a past-due balance with T-Mobile of $978. I've never had an account with T-Mobile and she went on to say, "Well, they own a lot of other businesses so maybe you have an account with one of their other companies..." They insisted I sign an online document but couldn't confirm any of my account details or the dates that I had an account with T-Mobile. They also had a very old address on the document they drafted up from "[email protected]." According to all their comments on the BBB, they "own" Capital One?! THE BANK? Really?! Supposedly, they now also own T-Mobile.

I received a call from Apex Capital Consulting. Victoria Morgan Ext. 2312. She said she was a mediator for company that was trying to get the money. She needed my debit card number or they would take it out of my bank account. She gave me their phone number 844-880-5803. Collecting on approximately $2000. I gave out my debit card number and the call was disconnected. She kept asking for the number.
