Contractor for deck repair. Originally told it would be completed before July 4th. First delay was due to him stating he was sent the wrong color for the decking- delayed by 1 week. He then started the tear down. At this time, it was discovered that the deck would need additional supports. We paid an additional $2,000 over the original quote pricing. This work was completed. In August, he said he had us scheduled for 3 days to install the decking. At this time, we noticed the deck supports were not connected to the ground. This caused another delay in which he quoted an additional $2,000 for the repair. This repair was never completed. He continued to tell us we were almost to the point of completion but would not show up. Thursday, Oct 17, he came to the door stating he needed to have a difficult conversation and would be back at 5 to discuss refund as he is not able to complete the job. We have not heard from him since, he will not respond to our calls or messages. I am disputing the charge with my credit card and filing a complaint on his license. I was unaware until last week that his license is expired.
