NO, as the sole representative of Apex Roofing solutions, was contracted to fix our home roof in an emergency. He made the temporary emergency repairs in May of 2023, and we contracted with him to upgrade to a metal roof. He assured us that the job would be done in June 2023, but we had to make a down payment of half of approx $8,000 so he could secure the necessary materials. Failing to meet the June date, he made several specific promises of times the job would be done, never showing up or calling with an explanation each time he failed to show. Finally, in October 2023, he came with an unidentified partner to put down the underlayment, with the understanding that the job would be finished in 2 weeks. N never showed up again. Through November 2023 until early December, being upstate NY, the underlayment had been destroyed by the elements, and another buisness was hired to do the job. Nick Owen, despite having agreed to send the supplies that he said he had that we previously paid for, never dropped them off at the agreed upon date. N then promised that we would get our refund of $2,161 no later than january 31, 2024. On febuary 1st, 2024, NO texted my wife, claiming his buisness went bankrupt and threatening a defamation lawsuit based on our social media (facebook) reporting of his buisness practices. I believe NO never negotiated withus on good faith, nor intended to finish our job.
