I received an email with a remote job opportunity as a Data Entry Clerk offering $29/hr. The email itself from suspicious as the listed sender did not match the name in their introduction. None of the names I was given are listed on their website.

The email directed me to Microsoft Teams and I voiced my concerns with the person that I was corresponding and they did not address any of them and instead attempted to continue with the "interview".

I did not give out any damaging information about myself or anything and didn't lose any money.

I received a text message one day after I had applied for administrative assistant job saying they saw my resume on career builders job site. I was supposed to add and get in touch with one David Carrick to Microsoft teams which I did I answered like 8 interview questions and 10 minutes later he said the job was mine and that an offer letter and check to buy equipment for the job was on the way. They sent a detailed offer letter which looked legit with company logo job description start date and benefits plus a bunch of other paper work that required personal information. I didn't respond to it. They sent a check of $5,700 via UPS which I deposited and my bank flagged it. I blocked him ceased all communication with these fraudsters. Once they tell you got the job everything else will be about this check they are sending to buy equipment you need for the job

I was looking for work, at home jobs. A recruiter reached out to me and said he saw my resume on career builder(I do) and an employer was looking to hire me from the results from my resume. He said the employer would like to chat with me on Chatwork app. I downloaded the app and I chatted with the head of HR (Apex ). He asked a few questions then he said the company wants to send you a check to purchase a L shape desk, bookshelf, 14 inch IPad, shredder, and a printer. When the check is delivered I was to chat with him on the app and he was going to tell me the name and address of the vendor they work with. Once I explained I couldn’t fit all of the items in my home, he then said don’t worry about it. When the check was on its way via Fed ex, he supplied me with a tracking number and asked me to track the package as my duty for the day. When the package (check) was stopped in California, he then asked me to accept a check via email and cash it. I said no. He asked why, I told him that the police is monitoring my account, in seconds he deleted the chat. Never heard from them. He also asked for a copy of my ID and to return the W4, which had my social security number. Days later, my online accounts were compromised. I also have the offer letter he sent.
