I recently received a text from (509) 350-2715, about a job opportunity, as I am actively seeking employment. Each week, I check three main sources for job listings: Indeed, as well as my city and county government sites. I believe this encounter originated from Indeed. I have an interview today, Monday, November 11, 2024. However, after reading other complaints and heeding the warnings, I decided not to participate in the scheduled Zoom call with “Nick” at 4 PM today.

Below is the exchange between me and the person I initially thought was an assistant.

To everyone out there looking for work, please be cautious. You all saved me from a potential scam, and I appreciate everyone who took the time to share their complaints. Without your warnings, I would have been in that Zoom call this afternoon.

Here is the exchange between me and it.

"Hi Lulu! This is Va'Lynncia at Apollo Consulting. We have been trying to reach you about your application for our full-time position. We would love to sit down and meet with you via Zoom! Please reach back out to us, to get you scheduled for an interview!
Good morning. I have some time next week. Please let me know what works.
Great! I have Mondaay afternoon open at 4:00 or 4:15pm! Please let us know which time works best for you!
4 works. Are you PST?
Perfect! What is a preferred email you would like me to send the confirmation to?
We are excited to meet you, Lulu! Just a reminder, you have an Interview with Apollo Consulting on Nov 11, 2024 at 4:00 PM. The zoom link has been emailed to you and we will send it via text message the day of!"

Received a text message from "Nick" at Apollo Consulting Group saying that he had received my resume and wanted to set up an initial interview. I did not apply for a job with Apollo Consulting Group, and Googling the phone number led me here to this scam report.

This person texted me about a job interview via zoom. I only interacted via automated text messages to confirm the zoom interview. I was one of three victims on the zoom call. The interviewer said nothing of what the business was or the job description. He said more will be explained in other interviews. I've interviewed for many jobs and this is highly unusual, so I started looking up more information.

I went to verify this person's information and his LinkedIn didn't match the name of the company. I asked him about it and he booted me out of the zoom call. The scammer's name is Nick Gallinaro. He is a fast-talking person, skilled in misdirection. I think he's creating a pyramid scheme but didn't have enough time to verify.
