Scammer: Hi [redacted] !, thank you for your interest in Apollo Consulting Group! We have received your resume and we would like to set up a 15 minute meet and greet zoom interview with you and our hiring manager Nick. We have some time on Monday, but let us know what works best for your schedule. Thank you, we look forward to connecting soon!
Me: Good morning! Thank you for reaching out. Monday works just fine for me. I can be available anytime in the morning and early afternoon. If you already have a time in mind, feel free to send the zoom invitation link over to my email so I can get it on my calendar. Look forward to connecting soon! (Already suspicious because I did not recognize the name "Apollo Group")
Scammer: Great I have Monday morning open at 9:00 or 9:15am, Otherwise I have the afternoon open at 2:30 or 2:45pm! Please let us know which time works best for you!
Me: Let's do the 9 AM!
Scammer: Perfect! What is a preferred email you would like me to send the confirmation to?
Me: The one on my résumé would be perfect, thanks! (Me knowing that if the scammer had my resume, they would have my email).
Scammer: We are excited to meet you, [redacted]! Just a reminder, you have an Interview with Apollo Consulting on Oct 14, 2024 at 9:00 AM. The zoom link has been emailed to you and we will send it via text message the day of!
Scammer: Happy Monday, Here’s the zoom link for your interview with Apollo Consulting Group today!! Topic: Nick Gallinaro's Personal Meeting Room Join Zoom Meeting https://us06web.zoom.us/j/5393794903?pwd=MEVvZHJoUGRpWFVyQ2REU0dEczdFZz09 Meeting ID: 539 379 4903 Passcode: 9pmfGL (note the 10 digit meeting ID which is a Verizon number in Tulsa, OK. I called the number and received a Verizon message)
Me: What email do you have for me? I never received the link.
Things of note:
1. The website lists 2 addresses: 5201 SW Westgate Dr, Suite 220, Portland OR 97221 and 2509 152nd Ave NE Ste E, Redmond, WA 98052. I can confirm that King County Washington has no record of the Redmond address. That address down not exist.
2. Google searching those addresses causes the pin to drop on an existing office building with multiple suites. This is the case for both addresses. The streetview of those buildings confirms that they are a different address than the ones listed.
