I've been unemployed for 3 years and I was contacted via email for a job opportunity with this company. I did my due diligence and check the company out thoroughly I used to work at Bloomberg News so I was able to access additional company information and the company was definitely legit period after the first initial conversation I was asked to download Hangouts if I didn't have it on my phone already because this is the way that the interview will be conducted. I was scheduled to interview the following day the interview was conducted on Hangouts and lasted for about 45 minutes to an hour. I was then asked to log on again the following day where I would get the results of my interview as well as whether or not I would be hired for the position. The position was that of an administrative assistant, several positions for offer but this was the one that I chose. Once the interview was completed and I found out that I was hired they sent me via email and offer letter in which I had to sign and return. Which I did and then I was asked to log on next day for further instructions at this point they told me that I needed and Amazon or an iTunes card in order to receive the apps and the files and an automatic time tracker which would be used during my training. I did purchase the card, took a photo of it, and sent it as I was requested. The following day I was to report online at 9 a.m. where I would be told the tracking number for what I thought was the laptop that they were supposed to be sitting however what I received was a check in the amount of $3,650. Will this scent a bell off in my head and I knew that something wasn't right and this is when I checked with the ScamPulse.com scam tracker. I've maintained a complete log of the entire interview as well as all correspondence that I have received.
