Once the person replied by text telling me that I would be redirected to HR for an interview via Signal Messenger, I already suspected this was going to be another job offer scam. I replied and told her I wasn't interested as I suspected it was a scam. I told her "Let me guess -- I will get the job and then you'll send me a large check to purchase software I need. You will give me the name of the supplier I have to use and then after I have bought all the equipment, the check will eventually be discovered as fake, and I will be out hundreds of dollars."

I never heard back from her. What on earth is wrong with people? Why can't they get an honest job and not take advantage of other hardworking humans?!!

I received a text message to contact the interviewer via teams. I followed through with the interview and was accepted to join the team. They said they would send me a direct deposit to cover the costs of all of the “working materials” such as a laptop, iPad, iPhone, and other technology. I then was put through to the training supervisor who sent me an email to sign tax documents and employment papers, which had my social security number on it, scanned birth certificate, drivers license, and a voided check. I then became aware of the scam via Linked In. I was not able to unsend the email with personal information attached.
