The scammer texted me for a job offer from a resume found on Indeed. Had me chat on Microsoft Teams with the supposed HR Manager. Received an offer letter for the said job. Was told to hold for the tracking number for the check they were sending me to buy the office equipment to start the job. Now ghosted. They have my email, address, and phone number.

I received a text message inviting me to interview for a Data Entry Clerk position. I conducted the interview on Signal messenger app and accepted the role. They then emailed me a check for funds for a home office which I had to print and deposit. Upon completion, it was immediately important that I commence a wire transfer. I refused to do so without more information and am still in communication with the "hiring manager"

This company reached out about a job for remote data entry representative/customer service. offered 35$/per hour. they said i was required to set up a Signal app account and connect with a Mr Barrington Leanard. and reach out to him using the phone number 1 762 200 6713 in the app. i did this and after a few messages i felt something was off so i simply said im no longer interested. however i did give my name state and phone number.

Offered job. Sent 5 pdf's that required personal identification. want to send me check next week to buy office equipment. Nothing of employer can be verified.

This is the message that I received via text ...(Alert From Appello Pharmaceuticals, inc. You made it to the Next step for the position of Remote customer Service Representative/Data Entry. You are required to download and set up Microsoft Teams. Add (Carmela McGowan) by using the link below: (https://teams.live.com/I/infite/FEAcTjTkz10ccjiEQE) and connect with her for your interview. Job ID: (APEL-24). Best of Luck ) I downloaded the app, communicated with this Carmela, they have my phone number, email address, home address, they even went so far as to say that they set up an email account for me with the company, sent me an e-check to cover cost of purchasing office equipment for the job. I have contacted my bank and alerted them to the situation. I really hoped this was legit...people should be ashamed of themselves.

I received a text stating I was looking for work from home, data entry position. I was asked to download Signal and Skype for the interview process. After interview questions, I was offered the position. Asked fill out typical new hire forms. Then I was asked to deposit a check to purchase equipment and software, so that I can use it to purchase ebay gift cards. Essentially I didn't lose any money and it was the same amount amount spent on the gift cards.
