I also received a check from the "Applaud Shoppers Hub" of $2500.00 stating the same thing. They first stated that I could go on a personal shopping trip of $25 each at 2 different Wal-Marts. Then I was to go back on a different day and purchase 2-$500 Gift Cards at each location which would total $2000.00 After completing the purchase of them I was to scratch the back of all cards and send a clear picture of the cards and receipts via sms/text to (909)361-5153 or email to [email protected]. Of course because the back of the Walmart cards have all the info they need to use them via account and pin. My check that I mentioned about came from a Federal Savings Bank. Nothing about this sounds legit if you dissect it but is carefully worded to scam someone who just reacts to it.

I signed up to be a Secret Shopper online for Walmart stores throught this group. I received a Text message from 909-361-5153 saying I was approved and should text them when I received this message. I did that. Today I received a instruction sheet in the mail and a 2500.00 Cashiers Check. I called the ScamPulse.com as there was no address or phone number to contact and also, the instructions were not on a letterhead and no apparent address on it. The cashiers check comes from Consumer Credit Union in Gurnee, IL and again no phone Number to contact. It all seems suspicious to me.

I spoke to a employee at the ScamPulse.com and she did research and found a phone number in CA 213-357-0641 and also that was attached to a Church.

I have not deposited the check and will do further research but will likely void this check.
