The scammer contacted my grandmother and said that someone had charged her Apple ID $500. They asked to call, she agreed. The scammer, pretending to be from Apple, told her that someone was in her account and she needed to download an app called "Contact." He gave her his information, which allowed them to connect on the app. Through the app, he was able to use her phone. He deposited $1,999 into her Cash App, purchased $1,999 worth of Bitcoin, then put that into his Bitcoin wallet.

She deleted the app "Contact," changed her Apple password, changed her banking password, and has reached out to Keybank and Cash App.

I was on my computer. A website popped up with a number to call saying I my computer and information had been compromised. I called the number they claimed to be apple and then transferred me to a person they claimed was Bank of America. They tried to get me to bank on my phone and withdraw money and transfer that to another machine. They also used another phone humber: 205-204-33668. The initial number I called was 888-733-2685 or 833-211-0987

A notice came up on iPad while looking at pintrest that told the person they might have been hacked and to call the number, so she called. They tried to get her to give them her bank account number. She hung up on them
