This is following the new trend of call centers from India using the caller ID spoofing method to harass people. It said APPLE INC, and as we did have laptops repaired, I answered the call. The automatic message said there was illegal activity on my icloud a/c. I realised it was a scam. I wanted to stop these calls, and waited for the operator, to request being put on the Do Not Call List. What followed was a nightmare. The lady got annoyed when I asked not to be called again, and she hung up. Then she called again, and I was surprised. She then kept repeating my name in a very threatening matter and became verbally abusive and threatening. I hung up and called my husband, who said to pick up when she called next to record her threats. And I did. It did not stop there. She called again 17 times nonstop, till we called our carrier to block the calls. It stopped for some time, and started again, with the caller ID of Apple Inc. I have put myself on the National Do Not Call registry and blocked anonymous calls, but the whole purpose of spoofing is to change numbers and continue the harassment.
