The scammer texted me first and asked if I had authorized a debit card purchase at Hert rent-a-car. After I responded no, they called me. The scammer then tricked me into sending them $2000 with Zelle on my Truist mobile app. They convinced me that they were helping me get my money back. I had never used Zelle before and did not recognize that it was a scam until it was too late. I reported to Truist and they say that the incident does not qualify as an "imposter scam". Therefore, they have denied my claim with the Zelle scam.
