We have an Amana fridge that's not working. My husband googled "Amana appliance repair." He called what he thought was a Sears appliance repair number, 877-939-6125, and was connected with a local person (Seattle) from a business called Appliance Repair. This person, who gave his name as Peter Jason, took our information and we scheduled an in-home estimate. The technician, Alex Jensen (he has a Swedish accent), arrived at our house on January 26, 2024. He pulled out the fridge and checked the back, then said the compressor needed to be repaired. He asked for payment upfront, which I thought was odd, but I wrote the check. Alex said he would return to repair the fridge on February 5th. He didn't arrive or call, and the number on the invoice he gave me had a fast busy signal. We spoke again with Peter Jason who said they were still waiting for the new compressor, but that it would come around 3:00 pm on February 6th. He said Alex would arrive between 6pm and 8pm that night. I waited. Again, Alex didn't arrive. Now we are unable to get through using Peter Jason's phone number, 206-210-6460. The number printed on the invoice Alex gave me, 206-802-2686, doesn't connect or gives a fast beep. We've tried calling them from different phones and did manage to get Peter Jason one last time, but he gave us no information and has blocked all our numbers now. My bank (Chase) has already processed the check I wrote for $646.00, so it's too late to put a stop on it.
