I called to have an appliance looked at at my home. I was told the call fee is 80 dollars plus tax and if we went ahead with the service the 80 dollars did not get charged. I asked the phone rep a few times and she said the same thing. Only 80 dollars plus tax if you choose not to repair the appliance. When the tech got here he said he would service/repair the appliance but it would cost 285 plus tax coming to 320.00. He would not look at anything or do a thing without us paying this and he said he would fix the oven. Approx 3 minutes later said that he needed a new part for the cost 452 plus tax. The part needed retails for 42 dollars on amazon. He said thats his price, we said so you didnt service the oven and we paid for that plus now an additional piece that retails for under 50 dollars at the home depot you want to charge us 500% profit? He said "yes that is my price" we asked him to leave. We called head office to be told the 80 dollars is for the techs gas and time, i reminded her that was not what she said to me prior to booking. She then muted me, put music on and eventually hung up. I called back her colleague picked up the phone and i explained to her that they were misleading clients and when the tech got here he asked me to sign a form with only my address showing on it after signing he added more items to the contract, that is not legal. I was very calm and explained we had been ripped off she then also muted me, put me on hold and then hung. My husband then called and explained and the 2 associates then proceeded to yell at my husband saying if you dont like it bring it to court we will not give you any money back. Absolutely horrifying to do this to my family.
