Initially they sent me a text. This text mentioned a job offer and finding my resume on the Job board linkedin. This number asked to move the conversation onto telegram. I provided the email I use for telegram which the conversation then moved to. Within telegram I was given a brief interview/ assessment. After that they sent a offer letter. They offered me a job, the role was Data Entry fully remote, and they offered to pay me 27$. This job offer used the name of a real company as well as the names of real employees who work at the company. I was told that they would send me a check in order to purchase the materials needed to preform the job. I believe this is the purpose of the scam is to send a fraud check which would later be reversed but they have also managed to obtain my personal information.
