FAKE Arcade machines
I was idly looking throught their site and spotted some issues with the site. The site claims to be a "trusted site" and gives a fake trustpilot widget.
When you click on it, all you get is reviews on their own site and not an external one.
I did a reverse image search on their reviews and found that they had taken photos from the real Arcade 1up site, and written a bunch of fake reviews using them.
There were a few other details that raised a Red Flag, but I don't want to put them here as the scammers might be reading this, and I don't want to give them tips.
When I left my basket open, the company contacted me because I had not complete the purchase, which is quite normal with a lot of companies "you left something in your basket!" that kinda thing.
Considering they claim to be an American company, their English is very poor, and they tried their best to get me to complete my purchase, but pressuring me with the threat of limited time to buy the machines I wanted. I naturally asked them how long that sale would run for, and they ignored me. This raised another red flag, as they had been very quick to answer when we were talking about a sale, but now I'm asking for finer details, they can't answer me.
This is because the sale never ends!
The sale never starts either!
THE SALE DOES NOT EXIST!
Their insistence on using Credit card, raised yet another red flag.
Most retailers give a PayPal, or even a Klarna option.
They have yet to answer any of my further questions.
I ran a quick search on the phone number they provided, to find theyve traded under a different name, claiming they're selling arcade machines, but they've also left reviews on the site for bloody Snow blowers!
Theyve also tried to run a business selling electric bikes.
DO NOT USE THE SITE!
All the screenshots I provided with captions are the ones
I would steer clear!
