On 2-8-18 I contacted what I thought was Pinterest to report a fraudulent charge on my Pinterest account for an ad I did not submit. I was directed to a 3rd party, which informed me that my ip address was hacked and someone had access to everything on my computer. They said to stop this I needed to add software to incript my ip address of which they could provide. The charge was $269.99. When I said I would call back as that was a lot of money, I was told if I called back it would cost me an additional $150. When I inquired why the additional fee, they said they would have to research the history of what took place with my computer and while I was waiting, someone had access to everything on my computer. In a panic, I allowed them remote access to my computer thinking they were resolving the problem. They asked for my checking account routing number and account number. They said they could not accept credit cards. I then was prompted to type in a screen on my computer that Arcler had permission to cash this check.

I realized later this was a scam. My computer started having operating issues. I installed Avast antivirus and PVN software. I tried to call the phone number Arcler Desk gave me in an attempt to cancel this service an uninstall the software, but it was continually busy. I did file this scam with PNC Bank in an effort to get my money back on 2-15-18, and it is currently under investigation with PNC bank.
