I have tried to us the contact number provided to me but it seems to be invalid. I was contacted by a person claiming to be an Xcel energy worker who stated I owed $1,500 on my light bill but they would settle for a down payment of $500. I did pay and then it was drawn out 2 times leading to $999.99 charge. In my account it stated it was paid out to Artic which I have no affiliation or need to use this company for any reason. The only software I use is through my school and they use office 365. I am in nursing school and the funds removed were to pay for my license fees and my bank account is overdrawn. I want to dispute this because Xcel stated they did not receive this amount. Xcel also stated this has happened before with people using online software to steal from their customers.

I googled the number to xcel energy like I always do. I called they answered and I was under the impression that the person worked for Xcel energy. He has a foreign accent and stated I owed Xcel energy $1,500 on my light bill but they would settle for a down payment of $500. I stated I hardly had any money and that was the most I could make and he had an attitude about that. When I did pay and then it was drawn out 2 times leading to $999.98 charge. I noticed it right away because my bank texted me stating my account was overdrawn. I explained to the person that this happened and he said well I could refund it but he could forget the $1,5000 debit if I left it as is. I stated okay I got 2 emails from a different system called Kubra EZ pay stating the payment was successful. When I did contact Xcel they stated a lot of scammers have been posing as them and paying the minimum due to get the lights back on while pocketing the rest and due to this I had to get a security code on my account because xcel stated they got my information by calling them because someone pretending to be me calling to get my account information. In my account it stated it was paid out to Artic Network Web Solutions, which Xcel has no affiliation with this company. I contacted Xcel energy and they stated they did not receive the $999.98 and I had to put security code on my account. My bank originally tried to dispute it but stated the company sent proof of my address phone number, which is scary but they verified that information when I called and made the payment. They also stated I am using their soft ware but on one of their two websites stated a fee of $499.00 is for Expert Consultations: Supporting Your Business Every Step of the Way, which I am a LPN going to school for my RN I am not looking to start my own company. My income is $55,000 annually and I have 2 children and I my budget is very limited to take such a costly risk. I have reached out multiple times and still no response. The email they gave me was [email protected]. Upon searching for them I found to websites linked to one company same email and phone number, which are listed below.
