They ask you to open a high-rate checking account but don't tell you why. After you do, they send this about the job, and they need you to help them open the office and get the equipment. I got suspicious and looked into the company more and found others that have been scammed by this company. The text below is what got me to look since it sounds like a scam.

example: I have already told you that in the future we will open an office in your region. Now we need the help of new employees with the logistics of the new office.

We assume that this task will take up some of your free time. We have agreed on your work schedule in advance.

I'll tell you all the details now.

According to the contract, our company is obliged to provide you with all the necessary equipment for work.

The training period will take place remotely, you will work from home.

Our main equipment supplier is currently experiencing logistical problems, and because of this, there is a threat that we will not be able to open a new office on time.

Now we have solved this problem. We have already found a new supplier who can fulfill our order.

The new provider is an IT startup.

It is a modern, high-tech company.

Your task will be to assist in the purchase and delivery of the necessary equipment.

At this stage, it is necessary to purchase equipment worth about $ 6,000.

We plan to send you this amount to pay for the purchase and delivery of the necessary hardware and software.

Our company will send you a Wire transfer to your Alliant Credit Union account.

The transfer of the sent money will take only a few minutes.

The money will be credited to your account, your task is to pay the supplier's bill,

which we will issue to you, and then arrange delivery.

The company's management pays a commission for completing this task in

the amount of 6 percent of the amount sent.

After the order is paid, you will need to meet with the supplier, it is better

It's best that he just delivers everything you need to your home, it won't take up much space.

A piece of hardware is designed for you, it will be your work laptop with software configured for work.

You will need to meet with our IT specialist. He will set up a work laptop for you and take other equipment with him.

Please note that all equipment that will be provided to you is the property of the company, and you are responsible for its safety.

By completing this task, you will significantly ease the burden that has fallen on us these days, because there is not enough time to open the office on time.

After that, we will start your training and preparation for work.

You will be provided with training materials, as well as scenarios of how the work will be organized.

We pay 100 percent of the salary to new employees who have completed the training period, and you will also have the opportunity to receive bonuses for completing additional tasks.

The scammer seemed like a legit company. My biggest suspicion was that they didn't interview me for any of the positions. The pay felt too good to be true as well. I sent them the front of my driver's license because they asked for it and I was a little too desperate for a job. That was the only thing I gave away before they started asking for my W-4 & SSN. Thankfully, I did more research before going over the edge.

1st email arrived on Dec 11 to inform me that the HR dept had chosen my resume. I returned the message asking when a good time would be to speak with Ms. Lewis. An application was sent along with job descriptions. I researched and saw that the "office" was in Brooklyn NY. I asked in a reply if the position was remote. I was informed that we would talk about it once I filled out the application and answered the questions. I have looked through the emails and red flags are popping up everywhere.

I received an offer and presented with a questionable application requiring personal information. The link to the company's site was a broken link which prompted me to investigate further.

Below is the signature line that was on the email:

Was emailed by a lady named Megan claiming to be HR for the company, said I fit for "several positions" but failed to mention what and that I had to respond with certain prompts.

The email address will make you think it's legit because it's a legit website but do not be fooled, it's unfortunately a scam.

I was offered a remote job from this software company's HR person Megan Lewis. Was sent a Employment agreement without ever talking to Megan The start date was empty!

I became suspicious and started to do some research.

If this turns out to be legit I will be very surprised! ie Megan contacts me by phone etc

I did not move forward providing information because it felt too good to be true. Those cases are normally scammers, so I stopped to research the business and found information confirming my suspicions.

I wasn't scammed because I checked them out and found very bad reviews on their website. The tip off is they asked for a copy of my Legal Id and we hadn't even spoken for an interview.
