Arenanet offered an expansion for the game Guild Wars 2. An expansion for those who do not know is an addition to the base game which can be bought for either $49.99, $74.99, or $99.99 (http://buy.guildwars2.com/store/gw2/en_US/html/pbPage.heartofthorns). Depending on what you paid you would get some bonus content. One of the selling points of the expansion was sixteen digital items that a player who bought the expansion could work toward and obtain inside of the game. They mentioned the ability to obtain these items if you bought the expansion at the following link (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/hot-new-legendary-weapons/). A snippet from the page is "we will be releasing new legendary weapons in small groups at regular intervals until the full set of sixteen has been added to the game". Many individuals bought the expansion for the sole purpose of obtaining these items and have been waiting patiently for them to be released. Yesterday after almost six months of waiting for the next small group of legendary weapons a statement was made by the president of the company. The president of the company said "I’ve asked that we indefinitely suspend work on new legendary weapons" (https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/game/gw2/Legendary-weapons-6/first). So it appears that individuals who bought the expansion and paid the full amount are not getting what was promised to them.
