It turns out that the person was impersonating my father's colleague via email (The signature had referenced her actual email address, but the original email was sent from a completely different email (he didn't notice at first because this isn't a colleague he regularly interacts with). After I asked if a piano technician could inspect the piano, I heard nothing back until 3 days later they said I should reach out to the moving company via their website which they sent me a link to. The website was a wix.com website that was clearly made in a day, has no actual working functionality, and a reverse image search revealed that all the images on their site were stock images. To top it all off, the link on their website was the exact same one that the scammer was emailing me from. (I just checked again to confirm, and it looks like they have since removed that information and replaced it with a different email.)
