I've now received at least 4 of the same attempts to scam me during Facebook Marketplace sales in a week. The users, usually with Instagram accounts, insist on paying for the item in advance and picking it up at a future time. They request to pay via Zelle only. They then send an Email from a fake Zelle account saying I need to request additional funds to upgrade my Zelle account to a business account. There's obviously no real transaction noted on review of the bank account. I called them out at this point and broke contact, but I suspect they then proceed to "send the money" and then ask for reimbursement with real money.
