Arise Virtual Solutions imposter Reports & Reviews (2)

I was contacted by a representative from Arise after seeing a work from home opportunity on indeed. I was sent an offer letter and "funds" required to purchase needed supplies for the position. I was asked to deposit the check in the amount of $3800. When I asked why so much was sent, it was for the laptop and software from their vendor. I was asked to send 950 for a laptop and then I was asked to buy a 900 apple card. I didn't do this because I felt like something was amiss.

For the love of god do NOT trust this company. I applied for a Data Entry work-from-home position and I figured out it was a scam just in time. First of all, I was instructed to contact the "hiring manager" (named "Raul Alber" or his screenname "albers Rue") via Google Hangouts. This was my first point of suspicion. He conducted a standard interview over chat, then said he was going to speak to the "Dept. Head." A few minutes later I was offered the job. He was super vague, but I was excited so I accepted the position.

He then told me I was going to be sent a check to pay for "materials" for the job. He never told me what it was for or how much it was. I was sent a check in a priority envelope with ONLY the check in it, nothing else. The check was for 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS. I was immediately skeptical. The shipping label looked sketchy too.

Here is the last part of our conversation verbatim:

Albers: "You are to deposit the check through your bank app or ATM. How close are you to your bank ATM?"

Me: "I can do it through my mobile app. What exactly are the materials I'll be purchasing?"

Albers: "I will provide you with the list and you will also be instructed on how to go about the purchase. You have nothing to worry about."

Me: "Ok. I was just wondering, I wasn't expecting it to be so much."

Albers: "Send me the screenshot of the deposit confirmation once you are done."

Me: "Actually, I'm gonna go up to my bank real quick and do it there" (once I realized it was most likely a fraudulent check)

Albers: "Make the deposit through your bank ATM and send me the deposit slip once you are done."

Albers: "Are we connected?"

He was trying to scam me into giving him my bank information. Also, I read that sometimes people will offer money to you to send to someone else then the check bounces and you lose your money. "ARISE VIRTUAL SOLUTIONS" IS A SCAM. I'm so glad I checked with my bank to see if the check was fake and it was. I'm giving the bank the transcripts of our conversation and the envelope with the address it was sent from so they can investigate. The envelope did not even come from Arise. It was from an address in NJ and the fake bank info on the check was from Florida.

Please be careful, guys.
