ArriveCan Spoof Reports & Reviews (1)

The Canadian Gov't requires all those traveling to Canada download passport, negative test results and vaccination status. The application is called ArriveCan. I could not open the app on my phone, so I opened up an account on my desktop. Turns out it is a Third party site and required a fee. They required additional information that was not part of the official ArriveCan such as my provincial health number and credit card number. I only realized my error once I tried to log into the account to receive my ArriveCan travel QW code the day of travel and spoke with a human in the CAN gov't who informed me the service is free and no fee to be paid. I promptly opened the official ArriveCan account to come back to Canada...and then a day after my flight, the site in question, sent me a QR code to enter Canada. I cannot say if the QR code would have worked or not but it did not match the one used for re-entry. If this site is a legal "loophole" third party service that charges a fee in for a service, then they should have provided the service. They did not. No phone, no human names, no response to my emails. Misleading the public, not providing the promised service for a fee for what is a required FREE Gov't app is fraud in my books.
