Type of a scam Online Purchase

Vendor stated they had a unit for sale and did everything thru text message instead of returning my call. I didn't find this too odd as many pinball vendors work via text and email. I paid a deposit on venmo and the difference via paypal. He sent confirmation that the item was shipped thru a company i had never heard of. When i called them to get tracking info, the guy answered "hello?", and then proceeded to tell me that i had called the right place and that my item was scheduled a day later. (i believe this was to allow the funds to be transferred in time). I immediately contacted my bank, placed a hold on the funds and contacted the vendor, who asked why i involved the bank and made me feel i was paranoid. The item never showed up. the vendor never reached out to fight for the money to recoup for his shipping (which is typical). This reinforced my decision as being correct. I was lucky in that i purchased everything thru a credit card, the fee is worth the security to know you can fight it to get your money back in these instances.

His website is still up saying he has pinball tables and games that do not exist. His address has no actual address location (this is what i caught after the fact that really brought up the red flags...in addition to the transportation company not having an actual address either...also both companies used "google numbers".
