A few days later they sent a text saying they would send a repair person and that If I didn't respond to the text my service would be cancelled and rescheduled. I responded but they didn't acknowledge my response. I had to call them to make sure service was still scheduled. The time frame given was Tuesday 12:00 noon and 5:00 PM but no one showed up. There were no scheduling updates throughout the day or after the "No show".
I had to call their India based service center and the first order of business was to put me on hold while they tried to contact the tech. After 12 minutes of being on hold, I hungup and called back but they still had no answer as to when service would be provided. They said I would receive another text with the new service date. I asked to be put on the first call of the day but they couldn't schedule calls or tell me what day I could expect service. I can't believe that I have to chase this company down like a Bounty hunter for answers, scheduling and acknowledgements to communication sent via text messages. Even then, they are largely ineffectual.
This has to be the worst service organization I have seen in my whole life. They don't communicate and or update and their dispatch seems to be clueless as to the scheduling of service.
It is my opinion that the first tech out that tried to deny service did so because the job would require major work. He wanted to go down the road in hopes of an easier service call. I'm in the service business and I know what I'm looking at: "Laziness and low moral character" and that typifies the whole operation.

LG referred us to their licensed repair company: Appliance Service Center. Jesse came out and with one
look said "Oh , yes, frozen fan" I'll have to go back and order one."
WE TOLD THEM the error message why couldn't he bring one and be done with it!
ALSO: before arriving he said he was not finding our address.
I asked if he was looking for COURT and not Street or Avenue, etc
and he said no but then arrived .
This CO: Appliance Service Center is abysmal. They never call and talk to you.
They keep sending you text messages saying their coming on such and such
with checking OUR schedule. They claim replacement part was shipped to us
when we never saw it which sounds suspiciously like they again used the wrong address. And keep ignoring my telling them we don't have the part.
on researching LG repair shops there's only one in Portland, OR and the next two are 50 miles north and 50 miles south of here. so no optional choices.
