This company called my parents home. My father answered and the person on the other line said that they were trying to reach me and he explained that I was not there and then the lady went on to explain to him that they are trying to reach me concerning a payday advance loan that they say I owe from 2011 and that if I do not contact them today that court action will be taken. Shortly after that call I came to my parents and my father explained to me what he was told so I called them because I was worried that my identity had been stolen from that time. I called and they transferred me to the lady who was supposedly my case manager. I asked the lady what the debt was for and she told me a payday loan from 2011 of $450. I explained to her that that was not my debt that I have never taken a loan except from my bank and she asked me never in or a store to cash a check and I answered no and then she said so you'd like to dispute it. And I said yeah and asked what the procedure was and the phone hung up. I called back, someone else answered and took my name but never transferred me and I asked for the name of the original company that they say I owe and they gave me like 5 possible companies. I went to ask her why she wasn't sure which company and how to contact them and the phone hung up. So I called back a 3rd time and a male answered and I asked him to look me up and I asked him what number they show for the original creditor and he gave me a number. And then the phone hung up. I then called the number and explained to that person that I was called by a debt collector and wanted to verify some information with her to verify this supposed debt. I gave her my info and she said that I have never done any kind of business with them. So we hung up and I called ASMG back and the male answered again and I explained to him that I just got off of the phone with the supposed company that they say I owed and that company says they have no record of me at all. And he said well they aren't sure which company and I asked him then why did he give me that specific number and he said look do you want to clear this up now or no and I said I would in court that I had been threatened with. And he said fine rudely and I asked for the name of the company that he was working for he told me hes not telling me because I've been told multiple times, which I had not been told. The original lady that called gave my dad the name but not her name. I have verified that I do not owe any payday company money. This is a scam always call the original debt holder before paying anyone. And yes they did have my actual SS# and my email but no address and they couldn't find me according to the number that they called.
