“Angela DeSoto” called from “AMS - Asset Management Services law firm” to collect a supposed $1k debt from Wells Fargo from 2012. They said that I would be served at my home address within 48 hours and charged $4k to include court fees (and have to go to court and be charged 3 separate charges) unless I pay $1k now. I asked why I hadn’t received and prior communication and they said that sometimes collectors just don’t do what they’re supposed to do. I said then I legally don’t have to pay. I asked for them to send documentation and proof of the debt to me via email and they said they would and I didn’t receive it. They had my previous addresses, current address, maiden and married name, DOB and last 4 of the Wells Fargo account number.
