Angel Tamayo, owner of Total Build has scammed $12,500.00 from me. This contractor has a suspended license. Hired through Angi. Not vetted. Has promised three weeks in a row to return all funds. Hired Nov. 17, 2023. Asked for $5,000.00 on Nov. 20, 2023, for carport materials. On Dec. 12, 2023, he asked for another $7,500.00 for more carport materials. I still have no materials and I still have no carport. And because the carport is missing over my back door, all the rain is no coming in through the top and bottom of door, flooding door entrance and hallway. Also, when he re-shingled the roof, he used defective shingles. I am a 76-year-old senior, living alone in a mobile home park with terminal lung cancer. I have done everything I can think of to get my money back with no success. Permit was removed from Angel Tamayo and my name was put on Carol Cancino. Permit No. 23BDP01574. Called his bond company, and from October 2023 to February 8, 2024 he did not have a bond with his company. For the last 5 weeks he has promised to return all money along with receipts. Always making excuses. And frankly, I am scared to death if he does show up and what he will do to me. Please help me.
