Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Same even I have recd the chq of 3480 but the moment the letter says keep 800 with u n rest 2680 for installation, at first I couldn’t digest why company will send the person for installation that’s too 4 times what they r paying to us? Then I search on net n came to know about these scammers…

I received an email saying that I was selected for a job that I never applied for. They were asking me for my personal info (Full Name, Physical/Residential Contact Address, Apt #, City, State, Zip Code, Cell Phone Number, Age, Current Job ) so they can verify it as on my resume. Gmail reported it as spam. I didn't have to do much research. In one sentence 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 is the HR Manager, on the next one is the
𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭(𝐇𝐑) 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫. A quick look at LinkedIn will show you the real HR Manager since 2021. Too many red flags! Be careful, don't be a victim! Never share personal info!

I put a decal on my car and I get $2,680

At first I thought it was legitimate, I texted the number and someone named Jay Grant texted me back and I told him that I am reading a lot of negative reviews and that my bank themselves showed me all the red flags on the check as well as letter sent in the mail. My wife was suspicious and I’m glad I listened.

Lastly, it's important you should get the deposit confirmation to us on time as our installation teams are mostly booked up. And following receiving the deposit confirmation, a representative will be assigned to address any queries you may have.

I fell for it

I received a letter and check yesterday and was sent a text message to deposit the check and keep $600
My bank caught the check before depositing thankfully. Too good to be true!

Cashier’s Check for an Ad

An invitation in FB to use my car for an Ad that would compensate me a considerable amount. Received in the mail a letter of instruction and a seemingly legit Cashier’s Check, amounting to $2980. The instructions sound suspicious to me that’s why I called the company to verify. It’s indeed a SCAM! Too good to be true — this is the catch! PLEASE BEWARE!
