Disability discharge

I received a call in March saying they could help me discharge my debts due to me being on disability. I later received a call from Nelnet saying if you are going to do a disability discharge you are not required to pay anything. I immediately notified my bank but they do have my other personal information. I didn’t do the proper research but glad I found out before any money was removed from my account. Please do research!

Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief

This company called about a new Federal Loan Forgiveness program and told me that I will be forgiven for my loans if I paid a certain amount for 144 months. My payments would be $175 for 10 months then $85 until the end of the 144 months. He asked for my social security, bank information and my address. I felt like this was real until I did my research. This company is not part of studentaid.gov official servicer list and I had an official servicer already. I reflected on why someone else would call me about my loan and not Nelnet.
