This is a telephone offer from a fraudulent AT&T Direct TV telephone call offerring a 50% discount on AT&T Direct TV accounts. I get this call about every week from different numbers, 202-559-6463, 208-625-8542, 208-651-4844, asking me to call 1-855-607-3204 or 1-855-484-1825 or 1-855-484-1799 where a live person proceeds to set up the scam to con the person into purchasing a cash gift card and paying about $150 over the phone for future discounts.

With so much information to work with why hasn't ATT and law enforcement shut this down and arrested these people? Good grief.

Scammer ph#1888 994 1441 When you dial that number you get At&t voicemail. Then the person answering phone make you an offer to reduced Att&t cable rate. Your bill w/b reduced by half. Then they tell you the offer is on behalf of At&t and Apple. You have to pay for the offer with a $300 Apple gift card. Call back with the card #. Then tell you something happened with the process in their office between At&t & Apple. Told me they would send me money back with a check in my name. Then the offer would end in two days. If I still wanted to take advantage of the offer. I could start over with a new Apple gift card. After long conversation with these people. I determine it was a scam. I also called At&t customer service. They didn't know anything ab this type of promotion. Never received any your of check. I was contacted by phone, and at first I turned them down because I wasn't sure who they was. then I talked it over with my wife, because I have been with Direct TV for fifteen years, she said ok. I called them back on a 800 number and they answered AT&T- Direct TV sounded very professional, then this girl told me all about this special deal that long time customers could get, if I went down to Walgreens and got two ebay gift cards worth $ 330.00 . I did that and gave them the numbers on the cards, two days later I got nervous and called Direct TV they told me that they don't call you. This is Fraud and a major scam!!!!!!

They called and left a message that I could receive a discount on my Direct TV monthly bill. I had called Direct TV about getting my bill reduced for being a loyal customer (I have gotten one before and it had expired) their response was that , there wasn't any offers available at this time and to check back with them. Approximately a week later I received that message to call this number **** ********* for a great discount on my Direct TV account. I called, their answering service it sounded like a genuine AT&T answering service with the music notes before a voice says, "Thank you for calling AT&T Direct TV how can I help you today?"

I said why I calling and I was connected with a representative . It was 50% off my bill for 2 years and no contract, but they would have to have the first 6 months ahead of time. It had to be paid with an ebay gift card by calling the billing office at *** ******** within 24 hours.

I however did not call this number bc it is not the number for direct tv and I do not have an account with att. Direct tv.

Trying to convince me to go to outlet stores to purchase 2 Best Buy gift cards. Load one with $500 and another with $334. I drove to 5 different retailers who AT&T DirecTV said offered Best Buy gift cards. Finally found the Best Buy gift cards at a Post Office. But, they would only load a total of $500 on a gift card a day. So, after all of that nothing. Went home, DirecTV called asking why I had not activated the 2 gift cards. I told them the Post Office would not let me do that. And they said, "Go, back lie to them. Tell them it is for personal use!" When I refused they said they were going to add $200 to my next AT&T bill! I told them at least 10 times I was done. I was not going forward with this promotion. It is a scam. Then, they got very aggressive. Passed me to the "manager" who said, "If I did not secure the gift cards for $834 he was going to increase my bill by $200 and the original telemarketer I spoke with will have to pay the $834 out of his pocket. When that didn't work I was passed to a "supervisor" who was screaming at me, said he would send me a $150 gift card and lower my bill. When I refused, he threatened me saying I lied and AT&T DirecTV will sue me for damages! I hung up, but for the past 2 days they call every 15 minutes.

Received cold call from phone number 8885890513 The pitch was from a very professional female voice recording that was responsive to my answers. She offered to reduce my monthly bill by 50% to a mere $75 because of my good payment and give me extra movie package!. After saying I might be interested, I was put on hold and then got a foreign voice (Indian accent) that offered me the savings. Sounded great! Except that always when I contact ATT for either Direct TV or phone I am talking to Filipina gals in Manila (and I had within the past month had to call ATT about my phone and chatted with Filipina ladies). Then the guy says that there is one condition- I must pay upfront 6 months bill or $450. At that point I hung up. Must stress that both the initial robot voice and follow on chat with the representative that asked for pre-pay were very professionally done

A guy or a female calls and says I am eligible for up grades or 50% off service fees. When you confront them they hang up.

I have let it go to voice mail and call back. It is not the AT&T music so you know it is a fraud. I spoke with one man at one time who kept saying that he is in Dallas at their office and he could reduce my bill. He asked for my account and when I said he called me and offered the deal in the beginning, he should have all of that. If you confront them, they hang up.

I received a call from the above number claiming to be an At&t Direct tv employee offering a 50% of your bill along with premium channels but you had to pay in advance 4 months billing amounting to $400. When I told them I was not giving them $400 the man hung up on me.

I knew it was a scam when they asked for advance billing and At&t Direct tv do not ask for money in advance when offering a discount on services.

Verified with AT&T that they have no such offer and they verified the number doing the calling was not an AT&T number. I did not agree to do take advantage of the offer.

They stated that they had a new promotion for 50% discount for 2 years I would just need to pay it up front in advance for 6 months for 270.00 and told me to go Walmart and purchase a eBay gift card. I did not give them anymore information and called the ScamPulse.com to report it.

Called from 855-705-0708 claiming to give 50% off Directv for either 3 years @$83.99 monthly after buying a Best Buy Prepaid GiftCard for $420.00 up front prepayment for 5 months, then $83.99 for the rest of 31 months. if I paid the upfront $420.00 with the Prepaid Best Buy Card on the same day, then I was eligible for a $150.00 Visa Card.
They even sent a email to my hotmail account, detailing this offer, from info@ dtvpromotionsdepartment.com, on a letterhead looking like the home page of AT&T, with further details available by calling the billing and promotions department (855) 705-0708 ext. 1... Called the number back that called. Answered with a recording that asked to press a # for the dept. you wanted. Promotions was connected to me, Guy told me that i would get reduced monthly bills. I had to pay with eBay gift cards, because AT&T partner with them to promote the offer tha their gift cards. Sounded good. Gave me a list of the stores close to me that had eBay cards. Got $500 in ebay cards from Rouses, called the number got a different call center person. He said before he took the card numbers, he wanted to make sure that the channels were added. Turned on TV, Showtime had been added, so has additional channels. Said OK now he would take the numbers on the cards. Hung up. Later I got a text saying there was problem with eBay. He would reimburse these cards, get 3 larger denomination and call back. I should have stopped there,but got taken for another $480... Of course these numbers would not go into the system would send a check to reimburse, but would need more cards. NOW! the light finally dawned on me. SCAM. Checked with ATT and changed pin and security code. Showtime had been added, They removed it and flaged my account. Just feel stupid!
