Type of a scam Phishing
When calling 855-739-2416, I was prompted to the "billing department ". I was then asked for verification of my phone number and last 4 of my SSN.
Operator then told me that I could receive a two year contract if I paid this discount price of $65/month for the next 6 months today. In total of $390 and would also receive a $75 gift card in the mail if payment was received within two hours of the end of our conversation.
Payment would be paid via Ebay gift cards due to their promotion part in this discount.
After our conversation, something didn't smell right to me and I searched for ATT DIRECTV/ EBay scams and found that this was truly a scam.

They said they had my access code and asked me to confirm it. Which I did and they used my code to add extra channels to my package. Which they said they were giving me for free. Which was not the case.
After I gave them the gift card info, I then received an message that my gift cards were invalid. I have a feeling they would say this on any cards. Up to this time they seemed legitimate until this happened because when I called them and the answered as AT&T and would transfer to to different areas. I spoke with them and explained I could not get them more money. They offered to refund all money back if I would send more. I told them I could not do this and they got upset with me.
I called AT&T and this was not them that called me. Do yourself a favor and use the phone number you have for AT&T and not calls you receive. This is a warning for others to not do it.
