I get continual text wanting me to open a website. I do not open them but continue to block each one. I usually get one to three of these per day. I noticed that sfter I watched a lengthy ad on Instagram on my iPad almost immediately after viewing I received one of these texts on my phone.

Text Message said AT&T "overcharged me on my last bill" and "a refund" was available. I deleted the text before writing down the phone number. I remember the area code was [501] because it was not a 1-800 number that the real AT&T uses.

I received another scam phone call from AT&T. At first it was a woman. Then a man came on the line. My caller ID showed 1-216-450-6532. She asked are you happy with your AT&T charges. If you would like lower charges press one. I pressed one. A man came on the line. They could give me a lower rate if I pay $99.99. One time fee. He asked for my credit card number. I hung up.

I received a phone call from a man claiming to be with AT&T. They could lower my monthly bundle rate. Requested my credit card number for a $99.99 charge. I hung up when he asked for my credit card number. The callers phone number was 240-324-6939. I think they were pretending to be AT&T.

Offered to cut our current bill in half for two years. Offer provided In conjunction with EBay. First wanted passcode to our account. Because EBay co sponser we needed to go buy $600 eBay credit cards and call ATT headquarters @ 8775788147 and read codes on card. Then no bills for six months and only $100 for the next 18 months. And if we could submit this within next two hrs. We could get an additional free month or a $100 Visa gift card. At that point, we said it was a scam and discontinued phone contact. Then we got an email that said we needed to reactivate our ATT service that had been put on hold for six months for this offer. We were to call the headquarters at above mentioned number and provide payment of $500. We ignored email and called ATT to verify no action taken on our account and to change our passcode.

I received a call from an 1-877 number. They said they were AT&T and told me I was behind on my bill. When I found the phone number for the real AT&T I figured out that this was a scam. It wasn't the same number. They didn't specify how I was to pay it.

So, received a "refund" check from ATT saying that it was 2020 sports courtesy one time payment adjustment due to covid. The check was for $5.60. I called ATT because I wanted to make sure no one opened an account in my name which they did not have any record of any accounts for me. The phone number on the check stub goes to some random One Stop human resource department. Obviously this is some type of scam so that once someone deposits this check, they will then have access to your banking information. Just sharing for those who may receive a similar check in the mail.

Person representing themselves as an AT&T customer support person asking about my recent home service problems, offering me a big discount for AT&T/DirecTv and mobile phone service, with the purchase of two new I-Phone pro 12’s, the catch was that I had to go purchase 3 separate $300.00 prepaid Apple gift cards to use to pay for the phones and service installation. They told me that Apple was partners with AT&T now and that’s why they wanted payment with Apple prepaid gift cards.

I got a call from supposedly At&t offering a limited time promotion for half off my bill for three years, plus a free movie channel. They wanted me send gift cards from Ebay, $458 worth. They wanted my wife's cell phone number. They were also going to give us three showtime, or epex which they turned on on my tv when I was on the phone with them.

Called representing AT&T Direct TV. Said I qualified for a promotion to lower my TV payment to $40.00 a month. I would need to pay for the next 8 months in full. Would not get a bill for 8 months. Then payment would be $40.00 for 2 or 3 years. The payment had to be paid with an eBay gift card. I did it not realizing it was a scam. The next day I received a text saying there was a transaction error on eBay payment. Asked to call 855-607-4733 to resolve problem. Said I would need to sent another eBay payment of 360 and then they would refund me 400 for the first transaction. Then I knew it was a Scam. They asked for my 4 digit code to AT&T. I since have changed it others phone numbers used.
