Initially hired to manage corporate bankruptcy filings, Lindsay proposed alternative methods to address our financial challenges. She indicated her father-in-law, a certified public accountant, would be brought into my case to help rehabilitate our financial image and improve our credit rating. Lindsay's plan offered hope for our business's survival.
However, a year later, we discovered ourselves in a more precarious financial position, with unexplained debts owed to unknown creditors me and my employees had no prior interactions with. When confronted about the new debts and delinquent accounts on our credit report, Lindsay ghosted me. Upon reaching out to her father-in-law CPA, he promptly denied any connection to or awareness of our business or circumstances before abruptly terminating the conversation. We waited months before filing complaints, giving Lindsay a generous opportunity to remedy her mistakes. Months later, I still haven't heard back from Lindsay. We hired a new attorney to manage the bankruptcy proceedings and dissolve the corporation. We have no other options thanks to the new escalating debts and business identity theft linked back to Lindsay.
