Audacy / imposter Reports & Reviews (1)

- Seattle, WA, USA

I have been applying to jobs on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc and someone contacted me via text message on my cell phone.

Message 1: Hello, i believe this is (they put my name in all caps)?

Quickly followed by:

I am Anderson Holzemer from (Audacy) We had our recruitment agency review your resume posted on (LinkedIn) for Data Entry position $40.00 per hour position. Kindly reply with (PROCEED) if interested. Thank you!

So I texted back proceed.

Their response:

This is strictly a remote work from home and you have been scheduled for an online job briefing/interview for Data Entry, the interview is done via chat and everything you need to know about this position will be discussed in the interview; Pay scale, duties, and Company details. OK?

I responded: Sounds good.

Them:

The interview is conducted via text chat on Zoom chat to keep record of every information, Do you have the app installed on your PC/Mobile Phone.?

I was wondering if it was a scam by now.

Me: Please send me information to my email and schedule a date and time and I will make it work. Thank you very much.

Them: Do you have the app installed on your PC/Mobile Phone.?

Me: Of course.

Them: Kindly provide me with your Zoom email so i can forward it to the hiring dept for the job briefing and interview.

I was still wondering if it was a scam or a real job with a company that was using a hiring agent and figured if they had my phone number then they had my email already so it probably wouldn’t hurt to give it to them. So I sent my email address.

Them:

Alright I need you to logon to your Zoom and send an invite to Brian Benedik email is ([email protected])When you do that send a confirmation code GMH-1017##..and let me know once you are connected. Understood.?

This is when I checked out. In the past, recruiters have sent me a date and time for a video call with a link/invitation to join. The idea of having to invite someone and then send a confirmation code and confirm when connected sounded too much like a scam. I stopped responding and haven’t heard from that number since. It has been a few days.
