First, I received an email from Stephen Griggs for Interview using Teams. The interviewer's name was Chistopher Murphy. Christopher mentioned that the interview would be just a chat instead of a video chat and submitted many interview questions to be answered. After this process, Christopher told me that in 30 minutes, I would receive the results from the interview. In 30 minutes, I was hired and an email with two attached documents in pdf. A hired letter and a W9 form.

I was initially sent a text regarding the job I applied for on LinkedIn. They took it to a zoom chat so everything could be recorded for their HR department. They asked me a series of questions to which I responded and also gave me a description of programs used and the job. They hired me on the spot and told me they would send a offer letter the next day. They requested the offer letter b signed along with a completed w4 form and proof I was eligible to work in the United States. These were all filled out and my passport was also sent back. They told me they were sending a check for the programs I needed to upload on the MacBook Air I was to receive for the position. They said to use all the funds except $150 as a sign-on bonus. This morning, November 4th 2023, they sent me a FedEx tracking number for this check. It was supposed to be delivered today. The tracking information on FedEx said there was an alert on this package and an issue with the address. I live in California and the check was being sent to Waukegan Illinois. I started to become nervous and scared that I was duped into something. Feeling very silly and vulnerable for not doing more homework on this before I sent my information. At this point I have froze my credit and reached out to My banks as an extra security measure. Also been reported to the federal trade commission.

Fake recruiting person will reach out informing you that your application is being moved along to the next round, will ask you to answer a set of questions, and then inform you that you are being offered the job. You are then "passed to HR" and told that contradictory information about being sent a check to purchase equipment and shipping equipment for the job.

An individual reached out to me about a position with Audacy Inc., I replied saying I was interested. They then sent me a set of 16 interview style questions to answer, which I filled out and sent back. I was then told I was being offered the job (with no formal interview or opportunity to meet with a team lead or ask questions) and that I needed to email an HR representative. I emailed the HR rep with my name/email/phone number and was sent an offer letter. I was then given contradictory information about equipment, being told that I would be shipped equipment but that I would need to use a check that they send me to purchase it myself. This was so transparently a setup, not sure if it's the company themselves running this scam or if it's some other people using the company name.

This is an online and works from home job the working hours are flexible, and you can choose to work from anywhere of your choice, the pay is $30.47 per hour training is $26 per hour and will be getting payment Biweekly via direct deposit or paycheck and the maximum amount you can work a week is 45 hours. If you are employed, you are going to be working as a full employee and not an independent contractor.

The check will be issued out by any of our 107 affiliates in the United States to facilitate its swift delivery since the company’s corporate office is in Turkey.

You will be receiving the check for the purchase of your working materials.  Once you receive the test, you are needed to have the check deposited into your bank account, and once the funds are available in your account, you are to deduct the $150.00 as your sign-on bonus and the rest of the funds in your account will be for the purchase of your working software.
