I received a text message from the number (858) 977-2644 claiming to be from “Audeo Oncology, Inc.” which I found online at AudeoOncology.com. The message said they sent me an offer letter to my email and instructed me to sign and return it. I never interviewed with this company, and the message was unexpected.

The text was generic, did not include a recruiter’s name, and matched other known scam patterns. After checking online, I found reports of this same number being used in job-offer scams.

They from AudeoOncology.com offered a data entry position. They said they would be sending equipment for the job(Mac book, printer, scanner). First though they would send a check via email to be deposited into my bank via mobile app. The money was to be used for the registration fee for the software I would be using.

I was seeking extra income and was immediately contacted with interest from AudeoOncology.com. Requested my resume and offered me a job with a letter of hiring detailing work, hours, pay and offer to provide computer, wi-fi, etc. When I wanted to speak with an individual, I was never contacted again.

It started with a text. Then a email from AudeoOncology.com. A couple of steps with questions via emails. Then I check on ScamPulse.com and saw that this company scams.
