While searching for a job, a person had posted a very nice offer on Facebook for $30/hour. I private messaged for details on how to apply, as requested in the post. She had me download a secure messaging app called Signal. In this app I was to, and subsequently did, message another person she asked me to. This person turned out to be the supposed hiring manager. They were asking for personal information such as a photo of my ID without any written guarantee or signed form saying my personal information would not be sold, given away, or otherwise traded. They would not provide such legal protection to me, and such I would not send any information not easily found on my Facebook. They at one point said that they can not afford for me to be ruined now, as though I were already in some sort of trap.
