Someone named Jasmin Miller contacted me about employment and I went through the process before I found this site. Tryin to contact my bank now to cancel the check. I wish I had found it sooner.

Type of a scam Employment

Someone named Elayna Arnold reached out via text message asking to contact a Jasmine Miller on Microsoft Teams and gave an interview code I was supposed to send to start the process. After about 10 minutes of copy and pasted messages she says the interview will have to continue the next day and to message her at 9am EST to continue. I did my homework on the company and it seemed legit. I mean the CEO Joseph Nounou has a real profile on Linkdin and the website seems out together enough, granted she did say it was under maintenance which is why the job posting isn’t listed anywhere. The next day, I did as instructed and her first message was “congratulation you’re hired”. After, she told me about how I would be sent a check via email and I was to print it out and deposit it to my mobile banking app. She also provided a list of equipment I was have to purchase including a Mac desktop and MacBook Pro, along with software that the company would install for me. I was also sent an offer letter via email that came from an ‘aurospharma.us’. I was asked to sign while waiting for the accounting department to finish processing my checks. That’s when I started to look deeper into the company and found this website and another encounter and deemed it a scam. I even asked Jasmine outright if it was a scam and she respond that it’s not. The check sent was only for 2,250 and if you know anything about the ridiculous cost of Apple products you know that wouldn’t of even been enough to but the Macbook. When I asked her about this she said “it’s not a good idea to send large amounts given it’s the weekend so that the check will clear right away”. That’s when I backed out. If I hadn’t have done proper research I might’ve fallen for this elaborate scheme.

Initial Contact was made by text message, informing an interview was to be performed on Microsoft Teams almost instantly. Was told to reach out to "ROBERT WILLIAMS" on Microsoft Teams and started an interview that used the same format as previous Data Entry Specialist job scam offer I got a few weeks ago. They got through this fake interview with copy pasted questions with no real substance and then say they'll email you the results in the morning and then they say their company will pay to send you equipment but will send you a check so that you can buy it instead of their 'company' so that when you send the money back it's actually your own money and you recieve nothing. Its a scam business, I vetted them throughout the internet and found their fake website with tabs that are missing and no real information on it either. They have an investor tab to make sure they can scam people who happen upon their website to try and scam them out of their money as well. This site needs to be taken down and the people behind it need to be stopped.
