Company lied about upfront costs to rent a vehicle in the UK. They like to target Americans in particular. You will pay a really cheap fee to rent the car, then you will get hit with hundreds of dollars in "additional insurance". In our case, 540 euros were tacked on. If we didn't pay the fee, see wouldn't get the car. We didn't have that kind of extra cash on us since we're on a budget. They did not mention this when we purchased the rental online, and the receipt we had even said that our fee included liability insurance. They refused to refund us after we found out they purposely omitted these facts. They are a complete scam. Avoid them like the plague!
