Auto Repair Protection has somehow obtained my name, make and model of my car and then sends me notices as if they are associated with the motor vehicle department. It makes it seem like my car will not be protected if I do not contact then immediately. The name of their company is not printed anywhere on the mailer. You only find the name of the company after you call them. The mailing they send is very much a scam and I worry that other people will think they need to pay for a service from this company when they really don’t solely based on how their mailers look. They need to stop trying to scam people by trying to look like a mandatory service associated with the motor vehicle department when they are clearly not.

I received another mailer from a boiler room operation to purchase an auto warranty. The mailer looks official, including an official Government mail penalty of $300 for private use. This is a total scam.

I am getting mail from these people. It says final notice and that they won’t contact again. They are asking me to sign up for extra car insurance for a car I don’t have. Has lots of language saying how important it is to get their stuff but it’s all fake.

This people called at least twice every day and now make call at 4am. I've asked them and even told them stop calling me but the calls continue. and now I get a pink letter from them that sounds official but what gets me is it tells me final warning, just like the calls. What else are they but leaching scammers. After this complaint I'm filing a complaint with the federal trade commission and federal communications commission. They need to be fined and shut down.

I recently purchased a new vehicle. About 3 weeks later I received a postcard in the mail addressed to "Chrysler Owner". There was nothing in the postcard that indicated who the postcard was from, but I called the phone number provided to find our who the company was, Auto Repair Protection.

The message in the postcard was deceptive and fraudulent. They make it sound like you have to contact them to activate your "vehicle protection" which sounds like you need to activate your warranty. They go further to say "...you will be responsible for paying all repairs out of pocket". Not true because I have a Manufacturer's warranty.

Text was as follows: "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle protection activated. This notice is to inform you that your 2020 Chrysler is in need of vehicle protection to ensure its continued safe operation. Please call us today at 1-800-293-4424. By neglecting to activate your protection program you will be responsible for paying all repairs out of pocket."

How did they know I recently purchased a vehicle and get my address?

I received three letters ftom auto repair protection in the past two months notifying me of an extended auto warranty that has expired, and I need to call them by 01/08/2021.

I contacted my auto dealer who assured me my current 3-year new car warranty is intact with the dealer and my extended additional 4-year warranty is also legitimate with the dealer.

I find, from experience, that if I call auto repair protection at 1-800-295-1949, their computer will have my home telephone number and would continously call me. I checked this company on-line to find other complaints.

Please contact them, since I find they are illegally contacting me and harrassing me.
