Auto vehicle registry.com here’s the problem. The owner of the website(he said his mame was George) contacted me and said he was interested in buying my car I had listed. He said before he took a day off work to please get a report from autovehicleregistry.com. I asked if it was like car fax he said yes. I checked it out when I got home and I saw the basic 26.00 charge for a report. I told him I didn’t want to pay that for a “I’m just looking at your car kind of deal”. He said ya well it costs to get recall info safety accidents etc... I completely understand people are dishonest. I gave him the vin number and said cool you run it. He said nope it’s not my car to run, I would do it blah blah look what happened is I found out he was the owner of the website. So I’m guessing he goes around saying he’s interested in your vehicle and asking for the report so he gets your money. I looked up and found other complaints using different names, one was a motorcycle the others were cars after I had paid for the report and signed up with my personal info. The payment goes through PayPal so I’m not sure if he gets your info probably not but he does get your 26.00 plus your email and address. Is this a legit site hmmmm can’t say but the owner is not. I received a receipt from PayPal for the 26.00 saying it was from Art Worms. The vehicle report I received was complete. It’s a complete scam. I froze my card and I’m calling my bank to see if I can fight the charge. He said his name was George. When I went to the chat website the customer service person that came on his name was George and that’s when I put two and two together.
