Another type of letter was from the "Acura Vehicle Services Division" with a similar message requesting VIN info, and that my 2023 Acura coverage will expire. I never owned an Acura, but when I was car shopping I had visited a local Acura dealer to look at a car and get a quote.
I did not attempt to contact the letter issuers or scan the QR codes in the letters.

This almost looks like a legitimate, official Tesla Company notice. It states that
“… our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for paying any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it’s too late.” I am uploading the letter with identifying information crossed out.
For anyone not reading the fine print, they can be scammed.
