It is a scam from Auto Warranty to get your vehicle information saying you have to call to verify and activate the warranty

- Lester Prairie, MN, USA • Mar 10, 2026

I received umpteen letters in the mail regarding my car's warranty. I got on the phone with the number listed, and everything seemed legit UNTIL we got to "payment info." I know my warranty payments are covered in my car loan through the credit union. After pointing that out, THAT'S when he was like "You have to do this today, or I'll have to cancel the warranty." I said "Looks like your letter says I have until the 16th to verify, so I'll do some research and get back to you." Then he threatened that someone would be by to "take my car" later that day. That's when I knew. So I replied, "That's fine, see you then." And hung up. Big Yikes.

Letter about my vehicle warranty from Auto Warranty.

- Portland, OR, USA • Feb 03, 2026

Sent a postal letter stating the I hadn’t kept up my liabilities for my cars warranty and they were going to cancel coverage. Then after calling they tried to scam 200$ a month for an extended warranty, saying I only had a drivetrain warranty and not bumper to bumper. Refused to give any details and just kept trying to figure out how I wanted to pay for the monthly subscription.

First started with male telling me to call this number for coverage on factory warranty parts for my truck. I got a final notice and on the phone said I would have to pay more due to a final notice. On the phone, They wanted 190 a month for coverage for 2 years and the next 2 years would be free. They asked for the vin number on the mailed letter to verify my identification.

- Minnesota Lake, MN, USA • Jul 08, 2025

I received a letter in the mail telling me this was a final notice on getting platinum coverage and if i didnt call them then i'll be financially liable. I called them because i panicked and a really nice guy picked up. He was very nice right off the bat and new my name and the car i drove and where i lived. I didnt think much of it, he was asking for my vin and mileage on my car. I told him the mileage but that i didn't know my vin (which i did but i still wasn't sure about the compnay) I then asked why i needed this extra warranty when i already paid a couple of thousand to get really great warranty on my car. He then proceeded to tell me that the coverage that i have only covers the extrerior of my car but not anything computer based. He then proceeded to tell me the price and asking for my debit/credit card information. I lied and said i cant find my card, and then proceeded to hang up on him and blocking him.

I purchased a car warranty that was supposed to have good coverage but they told us TSB reports on the vehicle as an excuse to not pay out claims.

- Puyallup, WA, USA

Received letter stating I had not contacted them about having my vehicle service contract activated. No actual return address, company name or website. For the return address it shows 2025 Subaru Outback, Official Business. Obnoxious high pressure salesperson said they were a Suburu contractor. Wanted a deposit and $189 a month to sign up. Condescending and boiler room sales tactics telling me I would regret not having it. I said no, not interested about a dozen times. They had my address and vehicle VIN #.
