But the top says "Penalty for Private Use $300"

The only information listed contact information: "Please call 1-888-307-2075 with VIN and current mileage before May 10, 2024." Regarding extended warranty.

Received postcard in the mail about final notice for updating auto factory warranty.

- Poulsbo, WA, USA • Feb 26, 2024

The letter included a customer ID of EST5774390 and used the name Steven Wilson, Program Coordinator.

I do not have a car with the information in the letter but I have been car shopping and looking at Toyota Camry's which is the type of car referenced in the letter.

- Chicago, IL, USA • Feb 20, 2024

Mailing states vehicle protection has not been activated. Given two weeks to call with a fake record ID number as reference. Called and a lady immediately asked for ID. I refused and asked if this was real or an advertisement. She refused to answer and asked for the ID again. I hung up.

Mail postcard stating " Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle protection activated. This notice is to inform you that your (car year and name) is in need of vehicle protection in order to ensure it's continued safe operation. Please call us today at 1-800-897-0439. By neglecting to activate your protection program you will be responsible for paying all repairs out of pocket."

- South Hadley, MA, USA

A postcard mailer was sent to me alluding that my new car warranty needed to be activated. I called the number to verify the business since my car has a ten year warranty. They were trying to sell additional insurance under the pretense that my existing warranty was not active.

- Milwaukee, WI, USA

I received a postcard in the mail saying, "EXTREMELY URGENT" AND "TIME SENSITIVE!!!!! CALL WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS!!! And, "by neglecting to call now, you will be responsible for paying all repairs out of pocket." There is NO name, NO address and NO Website or email address. Just a toll free number (888-388-5332). I's clearly for an AUTO WARRANTY! When I called, a rude woman said "what does it matter?" when I asked where they were located. All she would say is "Newport Beach, CA."

This person has reached out in the mail a few times. The letter uses scare tactics, using phrases like "...risk of being financially liable", "We reserve the right to revoke..." and "...this may be our only attempt to contact you...". These types of tactics are unethical and I would appreciate it if he would stop reaching out.

To add to my report the guy said his name was Michael and he was calling to let me know my car warranty was about to expire.

Got a letter stating that our current warranty is no longer going to be valid and to call them

Automated call with female voice asking you to extend your auto warranty if you haven't done so. And please press 5 to confirm or 9 to be removed from list.

- Burnsville, MN, USA

The number has called with a recorded message about my auto warranty. I finally called back and opted out but they continue to call. I'm also aware that no 3rd party can offer an extended auto warranty, which is what they are calling it.

- Conesus, NY, USA

Robo call from Christina saying the warranty on my car is about to expire.
