I just experienced something crazy when trying to sell a vehicle. We listed it on Craigslist and started receiving calls from a ‘Paul’ in (408) area code. He said he was super interested and was going to purchase it but needed a report from autocheckersearch.com first. We went online and purchased the report and sent it to him and he just disappeared. The site looked so legit and the report was accurate. We didn’t consider the angle of identity thief but wondered if you ever heard of a company (or its employees) using this method to sell their reports/service? Maybe they’re commissioned and it’s a way for them to make money. Maybe you or your company could check out that website and see if it’s legitimate?
