I applied for a job offer thru Facebook. Weeks later Jarrett Heisey texted/emailed from +1 (833) 285-6815 for interview thru the Fleep app at [email protected]. Then Tammy Cruz with email: [email protected], connected as hiring manager. That same day I was offered a Virtual assistant job offer with supposedly Automy Global logo/watermark paper. I provided state drivers license, W4 with Social to [email protected]. A day or so after I was told they were going to send me a check to purchase equipment, & software. I received the check on Fri, Nov 12,2021 3:30pm thru FedEx for $4,980.77 from McLane Company Inc from Temple, TX, without noticing it was a scam. I deposited funds and reported to the finance dept per lettee attched to check to Cassandra Ferguson at [email protected], text to (209) 207-5382. On Sat, I was told to send $200 as a google pay gift card for time record software to Catherine Gonzalez at [email protected] confirmed email that will jotify when valid. Ferguson requested a zelle pymt of $250 for vendor of training material to LaSteisha Oliver at [email protected]. The rest of the funds were not available until 11/16/21. At that time, I was told by Cruz to send a zelle pymt of $1,500 for work equipment to Curtis Duggan at [email protected]. Then she kept instigating to send the rest of the funds for office materials for amount of $2,910.77 thru apple pay. I questioned her and the she requested $2000 to Lanrie Daini at 463-333-2380. This did trigger the scam flag but Cruz said that was normal. When I tried, it didnt go thru. Then thru cash app, she had me send it to Ashley Nicole Bishop at $ashley2cz, it didnt work. This person declined the request. Then she wanted someone else to requeat funds by Kathleen Cook at $scaaxc (spam triggered) also did not work. Then she requested to get $2,000 of $500 American Express cards. When I went to the store, I was only able to buy one gift card plus tax of $505.95. This is where my husband told me these people were scamming me. I explained I was not able to continue with her request and I wanted out of this because she stated that I was acting fishy and snapped at me. She then told me that we would continue sending the funds the next day. On Wednesday, she requested another $1,500 of the 2k that was not accomplished. When I checked my bank, I was at a negative of $2,590.95. I called my bank to ask what happened, and was told the check was suspicious for a altered/ ficticious check. I questioned both Cruz and Ferguson why this happened. None of them answered me. Now I have this problem. I reported the issue to my bank Zelle dept, I reported the American Express gift card which was used by someone named Stephanie Dominguez with her paypal account. I contacted the owner of Automy Global to confirm if they actually were hiring and Mr. Giancarlo Barreda stated he was not hiring and I was the second person that contacted him in regards. I have been trying to contact McLane also but with no luck.
